after 10 hours of driving, we got to our hotel and ordered some food and just watched tv and goofed off for the night.
The next day we got up super early to get downtown in time for a meeting Jack had with a professor at uArts, a school Jack is considering to go to in the fall. While he was in his meeting I familiarized myself with the city a little by wondering around. When I got too cold, I sat at a starbuck’s and read a tourist book that Jack got a couple of weeks before.
When we met up, we walked around and found a place to eat; the wrap shack. They had $16 pitchers of jack and coke. amazing! We didn’t have that for lunch, but we did go back the next night. They were so worth the price.
The Next day we visited the Mutter museum. Best museum and gift shop— ever. I wanted to buy everything in the gift shop. And I wanted to know everything about each display. I would go back again and definitely bring people who are visiting me to go see it.
Afterwards, we walked forever to the liberty bell. lots of tourists in that area. We didn’t really spend much time there. I was getting pretty hungry, so we walked (again) to Jim’s steaks. Famous for cheese steaks and suggested by a few people, it was so worth it! Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water. It was perfect.
We then walked up South street, which was also suggested by a few people. I wouldn’t mind living near there! There are really cool shops there. I bought the latest Sailor Moon manga at a comic shop, where they also had so much sailor moon merchandise! I was sort of freaking out when we went in there.
It was a pretty good trip and I feel like I did everything I wanted to do! Success!
